Home Sweet Home...
After spending his first week of life in the hospital, Grady was finally discharged from the hospital with a clean bill of health. The antibiotics did the trick - eradicating whatever infection was at work in his little body - and, he proved to be a very healthy little boy at his two week follow-up appointment with the pediatrician. Thankfully, we were able to treat the infection before it was able to take it's nasty effects on his little body. We greatly appreciated all of your thoughts and prayers while we were in the hospital ~ God blessed us with amazing friends and family and we're so thankful to have you all in our lives!
In the past few weeks, we've been able to get adjusted to living as a family and have developed a routine (which, no doubt will change frequently, and without warning, as our little man grows and develops!) We have enjoyed our time at home together before I head back to work on the 11th and Steve heads back on the 15th, at which point Grady will begin daycare with Mandy B. We were fortunate enough to find a daycare provider who lives just a few houses down from us and who has a small group of kids with which Grady will no doubt have a great time with as he gets older! Both Steve and I feel confident that Grady will be well taken care of and have no fears/anxiety associated with going back to work and leaving our son with someone else. Actually, we both sort of look forward to getting back to a more structured schedule and taking on the challenge of balancing our careers and our new/growing family!

This past weekend, my good friend Nicole and Mckenzie teamed up to throw a baby shower brunch here in Beulah. It was held on the Saturday before the "big storm" and it could not have been a nicer day for baby shower... sun was shining, temps i the 40's, no wind... a rare day in ND indeed! It was such a CUTE event ~ the decorations were absolutely ADORABLE (Little Man/Mustache) and the food was DELICIOUS! It was a small gathering of friends/colleagues and Grady received some really wonderful gifts. Nicole and McKenzie did such a great job and everyone had a great time!

(Among other wonderful gifts, Grady received a little something for those 'black tie' sort of affairs.. Hah)
